During the pandemic, it was difficult to photo assist as much as I used to. I had to cut my assisting days to less than half of what I was accustomed to.
But the cool thing is I got to see Kai everyday. I was able to hear each new sound and cute laugh, see his motor skills develop, my wife and I got to see him walk for the first time (yes, we both cried), and just being able to see all these things in person is a dream.
While being home, it gave me a lot of time to brainstorm ideas for my portfolio. Daddy Daycare is kind of a fun, quirky homage to being a parent and how fun and difficult it can be. It is very rewarding, fun, stressful and sometimes we are very pooped (pun intended).
I Love you Kai,
Dada
